Harlem Late Night Jazz Presents "The Thursday Groove" 9 PM-3 AM

Lynette Washington is one bodacious performer who delivers in so many styles & flavors. Washington, a native New Yorker, has travelled across the globe singing. Her style is heavily rooted in jazz, R&B, and gospel. She recorded on the early GRP releases of jazz trumpeter Tom Browne as well with her own R&B/Dance group, Touché, on Emergency Records.

Washington has worked with Aretha Franklin, Peter Gabriel , and  U2 (was featured lead singer in New Voices of Freedom appearing in U2's Rattle & Hum) BBC's One World, One Voice, and Lenny Kravitz's "Give Peace A Chance". She has appeared with jazz notables Buddy Williams & Anton Fig (Drummers), Clifford Jordan & Gerry Niewood (Saxophonists) and Alex Blake and Cameron Brown (Bassists).
